Little Foxes by Karin Taylor
A pencil drawing, photographed and painted in Procreate for iPad with stylus pen. When I was a little kid, my dad brought home some little baby foxes, they nipped at my ankles with their razor sharp teeth. I love foxes, or have loved them ever since, despite them being considered pests, it’s hard not to love such a beautiful clever creature. It seems that what we learn about animals when we are children, crosses over into our adult life, there is a great fondness in me for all wild and domestic creatures, perhaps because of my early exposure to them. Crocodiles, blue ringed octopus, goats, quails, parrots, snakes, lizards, birds….we had all of these as pets at one time or another. Dad also went out on the trawlers and we had all kinds of interesting creatures in our fishtanks and on our walls.
