Yes boudidesign, anyone who really knows about such things can see right through me. I have to admit, rather embarrassingly, when I first began this series of designs with asian girls, I had a melding of Chinese and Japanese costumes going on in my head from all the images I’d been feasting on, and this is just what came out, I guess we have to call it ‘artistic licence’ and I apologise if it offends anyone but…..she is Japanese. Perhaps in her family tree somewhere, a chinese relative passed down this suit to Little Blue Kimono and then her mum may have sewn on the Japanese obi etc, allowing for a Japanese flavour to come through :D Her family were most likely very poor and just had to make do with hand-me-downs…..anyway, that’s my story…..and I’m sticking to it!! lol :D
