Malibu Missy needs a Kahuna ….........

  • Karin Taylorcommunity helper replied

oo yes, and my bro Tim has made a suggestion…. Timmy Two Toes emerging from a great big barrel (Tim’s a surfer and that’s his old nickname…he also was called Twister!) ... and i was nicknamed “Twister’s Sister” lol but i’ll have to give it some thought and set some time aside to create her a little kahuna :))) thx kj :)

  • Karin Taylorcommunity helper replied

ps.. in the past “Timmy Two Toes” or “Twister” snapped both his ankles surfing on separate occasions…resulting in two very painful breaks, and time in hospital! ... and that’s just from surfing :) one time he had to crawl up the beach and cry out for help….he was on a remote beach…but luckily someone had a 4WD and was able to lift him up into the vehicle and get him to the hospital… crazy kid! (he’s 5 years my junior and i still think of him as a little kid…he’ll be 38 this year)

  • kjgordon

    kjgordon

oh no…never had that happen in all my years and he is 21 yrs my younger,,,,,,,,
    I don’t get crazy anymore..eazy rides for me now….........

  • Karin Taylorcommunity helper replied

that’s the best way kj, just chilled on a big mal on nice glassy waves…. or a bit of body surfing…i wish i was a dolphin :)

  • Karin Taylorcommunity helper replied

hehe… thanx Mr Toothy … that will take some extra special thought, i’m only familiar with snorkelling… i’ve never dived…having surfed i have a little idea of what it looks and feels like…it’s hard to do that thingy air apparatus in the mouth look lol

  • kjgordon

    kjgordon

ah summer in on its way by you….......
Sometimes I thin I was a dolphin or a seahorse in an earlier life…..........
    a kahuna of the kai…......

  • Karin Taylorcommunity helper replied

somehow i feel i must be related to the hawaiian and asian cultures, otherwise, how can one have such a deep love for them….i think i was a dolphin in my past life, and heaven would be becoming a dolphin in a future life…..i hope that’s what heaven’s life, gliding through an endless sea kj

    regulator.
    :)
it would just be this big circle in front of her mouth with an air cable coming out to the back.

  • Karin Taylorcommunity helper replied

it sounds really cool….okay… i’ll have to give it a whirl …i have three new ones coming…but not drawn yet, and a couple more that are drawn already and just need colouring in…. but you won’t believe what i’ve been doing instead! My Ben is home today (pupil free day) and i’ve been ‘sawing’ balsawood for his ‘school project’ – i’ve blunted every kitchen knife in the draw..trying to get all the pieces even so as he and two other little mates can build an airport construction! insane!! sometimes family comes first heheh :::)

haha good ole balsa wood. great stuff.
i used to make little motor planes – little engine on a balsa plane. it had wire which you held on to and then the engine would make it fly, but you hold onto the wire and it flies in a circle around you. you get dizzy but its a tiny engine and they dont last long. great fun.

model making – use that foam stuff. you can cut it easy – thin wire and a battery – make the wire hot and run it thru the foam – cuts like butter.
    :)

  • Karin Taylorcommunity helper replied

everyone yesterday was saying how easy this stuff was to cut…like butter! yeah right!! (a touch of sarcasm) lol
we really need something softer…that stuff wasn’t easy to cut at all..i went through 3 bread knives and my best wiltshire!!! :)

  • Karin Taylorcommunity helper replied

your model sounds like a little goer!

lol balsa IS easy to cut- just need a razerblade. apparantly though balsa is excellent for squish compression factor. quite resilient.

  • Karin Taylorcommunity helper replied

okay well yeah – that really thin stuff is easy to cut with a razor blade, but i had all these thick sticks to cut, they required sawing through… you shoulda seen the mess on kitchen table and all over the floor… i was like – what the?? how are little kids supposed to do this by themselves! even grown ups can’t do it! lol

  • Karin Taylorcommunity helper replied

.....on the other hand, perhaps i am just balsawood challenged LOL
