‘Friends Series’ Spring Posy by Karin Taylor
Spring Posy comes from a detail of One Spring Day which is a mixed media production (ink, pastel, charcoal, acrylic) on canvas textured paper. I have also used a variety of found objects, including lace and ribbons…and an especially beautiful gold paint for the wings which were underpainted first to created texture.
On of my favourite paintings, my heart and soul went into this piece…two sweet little girls in darling dresses hanging out in the garden together….what could be nicer.

aw, wow, this is really sweet and pretty…i didn’t think of it on pink….very endearing as you say!! perfect for little girls…and grown up girls who love such things….I would definitely wear it…i think it would look so cute with jeans or black flared pants…...it’s gotta look great as a pj top too… with a pair of tracky dacks and ugg boots ….lol

aw, thanx Nira, two little friends,
as sweeet as can be….a friend of mine
commissioned this painting for her two little girls,
who are both blonde :D she gave me permission to do
whatever i wished…this is the best way for me to work on
commissions, i don’t do well with too many specifications and
instructions :D somehow, i lose the inspiration and creativity….
i was so happy with the original painting, and they loved it :D
