Hey, Karin, very sweet designs, and I really want to tell you this.
For many chinese people (yes, I am chinese), very often the western representations of chinese culture/characters are not very well accepted (a bit like fortune cookies, they are only western-perceived chinese food, most chinese don’t eat them, LOL). But your asian/chinese characters are really really adorable, they totally change what I thought!

what you say means a great deal to me indeed and I am very touched by it.
I have the greatest affection for asian children and love to learn of other cultures outside of my own. It was with this in mind that I began to paint this theme. After my own children began to learn martial arts, I painted an asian themed card to thank the sensai (teacher) and once I started on these little figures I gained more and more affection for them….i began to research more and more about asia and found myself increasingly absorbed, so that these works of art sprung forth, without much further thought….they had taken form within me, and decided they would come to life….so in some ways, it wasn’t really my decision to paint them, i think they insisted they were coming to life, with or without me!!!! thank you very much MissKoo…a very well timed compliment indeed!!! :D

Yeah… I’m good. Will BM you tomorrow ~ finally got out to the Botanic Gardens today and took HEAPS of pics!!!!! Next week I probably won’t be on here as much cos it’s Andy’s b’day and we’re going to be out and about 4 days out of 5… grrrrrr :-(
