If this is it....competition

competition
If this is it…..what would you do?

I’ve been listening to If This is It by Newton Faulkner, there is a competition where you could win a £1500 weekend away courtesy of Newton Faulkner for an all expenses paid weekend in the UK at a location of your choice where you can fulfil your last day on earth fantasy…. to coincide with the release of his new album

song lyrics here

If the competition isn’t your cup of tea…. why don’t you just share with me/us here…. by answering this:

If you only had one day left to live your life, how would you spend it?

If you had one night, if you had one chance….. what would you do…..tell, do tell

Would you hug a tree, would you spend time with your family, would you go to the beach, would you fly to another country…etc

ohh… this 1 hits close to the heart I must say. Some people live out that day for weeks or months even (lucky ones?). I would spend it with the people that care about me…and see the rolling waves sweep the beaches’ doorsteps. I’d feed the wild backyard birds and maybe write some thoughts down and turn them into a poem.

    thank you lukas
that’s beautiful….you got the tears flowing…happy tears… i hope you get to do that

I would call my family and tell them I loved them and to not cry when i go to heaven.
I tell them that I was sorry I could not stay longer…But that I would be with them in there hearts till they come home too.
I would pray and read my bible …then write each of my love ones and tell them how much I thought of them ,one by one,,i would get my ins. out so they know that I did not leave them having to bury me.Then i set out sided and enjoy Gods beauty of the night and talk to my heavenly Father …till day brake comes and I go home..Who could really want more than this…Hugggggz Karin

My family would win me every time
If I could get them all up to Kosciusko that would be the best!
& if I could do it on horse back even better!
But I would have to be with them!
No matter where I am or what I am doing, & especially no matter how many seconds are left Life just isn’t worth living without my family!
    Chookas gal! ♥

if i knew it was my last day on earth…. i would stand in the centre… have all my family surrounding me in an embrace…. all my friends around that… and form a circle around a circle…have favourite songs playing….work my way around and hug every single person, then back into the centre with my family…then i would picnic all day and walk the beach…i would visit the rockpools and embrace allthe wonder of the natural world…i would share with my children all the things i feel i’ve learned and might help along the way, and i would hold them infinitely in my arms….i would rest on my husband’s shoulder until the time came to go…I would think of all the things I’m grateful for and enter into a time of meditation with my God… I would sit in the warmth of the sun…. and just feel grateful, sending love and receiving love… that’s all i want

One day, wouldn’t be enough to get to where I needed to…but if it was the one day and I only found out that morning…then my husband I would take our loving Taka on a walk to the waterfront as we do every day, among the local birdlife, and we would lay in the grass and get on the phone with my wonderful Uncle and my nephew, both of whom live on other sides of the planet. We would also be playing Sarah Vaughn’s “I’ll be Seeing You.” And we would have a great bottle of something to drink.
Love you Karin for posting this. xx

I would spend the first half of the day having fun with my family and friends. Like a going away party. But I would spend the last half alone, so I could come to grips with it all.

Ditto to being with my family and closet friends. candles, music and lots of conversation,(and good food and wine) then a nice hot bubble bath with a couple of red wines, followed by comfy PJ’s (with hair done and a little lippy and my favorite perfume) (the hairdresser in my would not settle for less. lol ) to settle down and write letters to those closest….with strict instructions on my “after” party (which would be a blast) ...cry and smile over family photos, then more wine, dance to the music out under the stars and settle in for the end with my boys under each arm…. knowing I had done my best and taking pride in the fact that for this time around it was enough…..that I had their love and they were great boys. (smiling very proud actually at this point in time) xxxx

  • Karin Taylorcommunity helper replied

Hi fa, so beautiful…. You reach out abd touch my heart from so far away… The distance doesn’t matter…. We would make time to visit therock pools but the sun sets in the west… We’d have to get up really early so we can see the sun rise together over the sea… If it’s low tide we can visit the rockpools… Your brother can visit us too, of course… Does he want to bring you over… That would be okay too :) whatever makes our fa happy …..
