Video Montage Group Feature

I was really honoured to learn that one of my paintings has been featured in the Video Montage Group by Muscular Teeth

There’s this really wonderful friend of mine you can check out on the bub called MT or Muscular Teeth and it is MT who moderates the Video Montage Group you may have seen his spider profile around and about…he now sports a cute red dot beside his name, due to his outstanding efforts in tirelessly promoting Red Bubble

In his own words MuscularTeeth is a multi-packaged entity; film, music, photography and drawn artwork.

He works night and day using his creativity to blend art, rhythm, music and themes with his special techniques, i can only imagine the work that must go into these video montages….the more i see, the more i ‘get it’.....i can see he has a great vision, and he’s blending so many artforms together, it’s a really unique idea….others do similar things, but MT’s is very unique and requires a very specific vision….only MT has :)

So folks, the new theme is : MONSTERS, FANTASY, FOLKLORE, FAERYTALE…..so Muscular Teeth will be looking for images such as these for his next Video Montage, which he puts onto UTube, giving much publicity to Red Bubble and his fellow artistes….a win-win situation

Each artist who is a member of red bubble and the Video Montage Group submits one piece, and Muscular works on a themed piece of music, clever, clever, clever…....which suits the theme and the art…..brilliant huh!

One of MT’s Videos actually got over 7,000 viewings in one day…...WOW!

when i was about 9 or so, me and my lil brother were at a farm and thought it would be funny to chase the chickens like on cartoons….except this big ass rooster came at me, knocked me to the ground, and then spurred my ankles all up! i hate the lil boogers now…probably why i eat so much chicken :D

i don’t have such a good story, ..... i can only tell you about the day i stuck my thumb inside the mantle of a clam on a deserted island and the tide was coming in fast……hehe :)

hehe, yeah really! there was this place called ‘Keswick Island’ across the channel from ‘St Bees Island’ in the Whitsundays…and a priest we knew from Port Macquarie and his brother, had a lease over the island, they built a hut, and if you went there it was mainly for a fishing trip with the blokes….but dad was mates with the priest, and offered to do some work on the old shak…so we were allowed/invited to spend a week there on two occasions…talk about roughing it….i lived on powdered milk, and mum’s chocolate caramel slice….while dad set up wierd rigs to catch sharks in the middle of the night…..only to end up skiing down the coral in his bare feet as he tried to land the sharks in the pitch black of night….oh the stories i could tell…but no-one would believe me :(

Keswick Island has now become a very quiet holiday haven, but once there was just a shak, a generator, and an airstrip…..a wonderful place where you saw so much….incredible, incredible….if only i could return i would love to live there in solitude and do my art ….i think that would make me very happy. (and a little lonely perhaps :)

Congratulations Karin! It’s funny, the day I discovered my first feature, someone else on my watchlist had a feature, and today it happens again. Did this appear in you activity moniter?

hi Mui-Ling, it did..but yesterday…today is first chance to journal it….my first feature ever, i wasn’t informed of…...found out through someone else congratulating me…it’s nice if they let you know :)

So in other words there wasn’t a new activity in you monitor with the heading “Featued Work”. In the past, I wouldn’t have known about a group feature unless I visited the group myself. Who knows, you may have had other featured works in other groups you don’t know about. Easiest knowing if it comes up in the activity monitor like it did for me today.

now i think of it, it was actually that one of my works was used as an avatar….but on thanking the person responsible they made it clear that it was just a choice and wasn’t anything really special about my particular piece!! ouch!!

awww~ that’s great of MT! congrats, Karin!! yea, love his video.. the RB videos montage are great but i like his usual music with old video scenes better. it tends to have some eccentricity.. a lil disturbing yet interesting.. love them! =D

yes, you got it in one fa….i feel the same way….i love his old video scenes…..with the dancing and stuff….it’ll be interesting to see what he does this time ‘round too….i think he’s very versatile, and I really admire him :)
