Frangipani Fresh

Frangipani Fresh

Frangipani Fresh is a mixed media production on canvas textured paper, i enjoyed doing this one very much…..quick strokes with the ink and lots of watered down acrylic, so it was inklike…...also charcoal.

One day i was in this groovy little shop in Byron Bay and an english tourist was chatting to the shop owner, i had to try not to giggle, because they were raving about how gorgeous these little wooden frangipanis were that float in the water as a display…...BUT the shop lady was calling them FRANGI-PANGIS (frangee-pangees)....omigosh, so funny!!!

There is a lot of movement on the flowers and dots. One can almost hear a musical rhythm. Love this design!

  • Karin Taylorcommunity helper replied

thanks very much Rachel, i really appreciate this comment very much, it’s a very unusual thing to say, but very apt at the present time with things i’m thinking on…..musically speaking :)
