Dot and Spot

Dot and Spot is from the ‘Beach’ and ‘Friends’ Series of cards and prints by Karin Taylor.

The original painting sold some time ago at a local art prize called the Southern Cross Art & Craft Exhibition in Ballina. It is one of my favourite pieces.

Dot and Spot was created on canvas textured paper, using mixed media.

Dot and Spot belongs to the following groups:

Back In Black, Beach Art, Mixed Media, Seachanges and The Two Of Us

This is really well-balanced and I like the small details like how they’re wearing different swimsuits, as well as the tassles on the towels! The colours you choose work so well together.

Your eye for detail is amazing. One of these days I’m going to take some painting lessons :o)

Your design and composition is always stronger than Magnus VerMagnuson, who I think is the strongest man in the world. (And with that I have now met my weird reference for the day quota.) ;)

lol thanks Steven ‘design by association’ quote accepted and filed … i hope now that big muscular men do not start featuring in my art…. because what goes in, usually comes out in my art….. could you please use ‘prettier’ reference tools in the future ….. kind regards, K :) (cheeky grin)
