Lola's Tide Pool Party by Karin Taylor
Lola is one of my greatest fun paintings, i love her thighs and her silly heartwarming expression, she’s like the life of the ‘tide-pool’ party and loves to relax and enjoy herself:)
Lola is from the beach series of cards by Karin Taylor, she was created on canvas textured paper using mixed media (ink, pastel, charcoal and acrylic)
Available for sale as Cards

You certainly have a good eye and a steady hand to create a beauty as Lola. Your works seem to be alive and are filled with happiness and a whole lot of love.

Yours pics are all so vibrant and colourful. Love those rings of water and her relaxed pose!!
Karin Taylor in reply to Basia McAuley’s comment, 4 months ago
Thanks Basia, i love to hear why people like a painting, it’s almost like taking a photo, deciding what angle you’ll draw them from :)
Karin Taylor in reply to Lam Tran’s comment, 4 months ago
Glad you like her Lam, she’s very relaxed I agree!
Karin Taylor in reply to Anthony Comella’s comment, 4 months ago
thank you Anthony, i like to make happy works, i like to imagine people smiling when they look at them, and losing track of their troubles for a moment in time :)

I like this one! As always, your colors are astounding. I have to wonder though whether or not that water she’s wading in is toxic. I mean…it looks like she went for a dip in a hippies acid trip. ;)
Karin Taylor in reply to Steven Novak’s comment, 4 months ago
.....hmmmm thanx Steven, that could account for the look on Lola’s face~! :)

this one is so cool! i wonder where you get your inspiration becauuse you constantly come up with great themes!
Karin Taylor in reply to artsthrufotos’s comment, 4 months ago
well, i live near the beach…and i love round circle type things….and designing cozzies and clothes…..and the feeling of paint and pastel on the paper….the pooling of ink on a page…..and it just sort of comes from that i think :) thank you so much for your lovely comments and encouragement!
