Girl on Red Wall is a mixed media production on canvas textured paper utilising ink, pastel, charcoal and acrylic in the rendering. It was a fun piece that has been popular, the original has already been sold to a doctor in Queensland, and prints requested overseas. It’s funny, the paintings you don’t think will be popular, are the ones that receive the most interest sometimes. I have grown to love Girl on Red Wall very much, and would now like to share her with you

I find that it’s hard to comment on your work, lately. I love almost everything you do, and have run out of things to say. Your use of colour, your imagination, your composition, texture, originality – all are wonderful, and I applaud you.

i feel that way too, a lot, i get many rejection letters from the literary agents i write to, & its sort of like my ex used to say, shed one tear & keep on going. Don’t give up, there’s a gallery out there (probably many) who is going be honored to show your work

i love the colors, Karin!! it’s really beautiful.. and.. is that.. a cat? it is a cat right? that fat chubby cute one?! is it SO cute!!!!! and i love the girl’s lil chinese dress and the brolly with chinese style motifs on the left.. ARGH i love this piece. ditto! XD

YEs!! it’s a great big fat puddy-tat…with kinda moo-cow black n white spots….i didn’t know i had a good photo of her til today, checking back in my records, turns out i do…so i thought i’d share her with you guys and see whatcha’s all thought of her…..so thrilled you like it….i mean i had an idea you might, becoz of your wonderful photos with the pussy cats over there and the wonderful paintstripped walls that you’ve been showing us…. we must like similar things!

the rejection was of my cards…the only gallery to accept….i sent samples and they sent them back.. saying ‘no thanx’...didn’t even keep any info for future reference….dang! i was so excited for a minute…but it’s always the way :)

omigosh!!! i’m nearly wetting myself as i read this….....what can i say…you said it all…...this is the funniest response i’ve ever had (and very honest lol).....my hubby would absolutely agree with you (but drug of choice is caffeine x 20 cups a day) gotta stop it!!!! i think i’ll be slowing down soon :)
