Where is Red Dog?
‘Inspirational Series’ card by Karin Taylor
Where is Red Dog is a mixed media production on canvas textured paper using ink, pastel, acrylic and charcoal.
The original painting was inspired by the legend of ‘Red Dog’, aka ‘The Pilbara Wanderer’ of Western Australia. Red Dog was a loyal friend and stout companion to all who knew him.
In this painting, the girl on the skateboard represents us in our search for love and acceptance and ‘Red Dog’ symbolises that quintessential spirit of the friend, whose love and acceptance we all yearn for.
Where is Red Dog? belongs to the following groups:
Beach Art, Childhood, Mixed Media and Sunflowers Available for sale asGreeting Cards

Love this one – slightly different style to your others, she’s skinny! Still fun and quirky though : )
Karin Taylor
replied
Yeah … must’ve got tired of doing fat ladies…lol!!!
I had a thing about skateboards for a while (actually broke my arm last year trying to ride one – at the ripe old age of 42!)...I think it’s harder to balance when you’re plump…..(speaking from my own bad luck experience lol)
Carmen Cilliers
That’s such a funny come back! I remember the last time I rode one, and fell off… I vehemenantly declared to everyone watching that “I don’t care, I am a lady now!” (I still have the scars about 20 years later)
Karin Taylor
replied
Yes, I’m a lady now too…....as Little Britain would say…lol
