Summer Breeze a beautiful poem by the same title by a dear friend of mine Anne Van Alkemade
Inspired by the song Summer Breeze

Also inspired by myself and my experience of having bugs and insects come to try and take up residence in my ears… scrabbling around in there, getting all comfy…while I’m going crazy…click beetles, houseflies and spiders so far have all tried this… lol
This is a girl who has an affinity with nature, and as the summer breezes begin to blow here in Australia…....the animals are drawn to live in her hair thinking that it must be branches of a tree… yes, my hair’s that dry… :)
I thought it a fitting one for summer, hope you like her…

Wow Sassie, this is just so special!! Love the way her hair catches the rain! And yet it is nourishing the plants and the birds so it is still a good rain!! And one of my favourite songs!!! Is that your first foray into halftone? (her dress?) I myself have just started using it more in my work and am enjoying it so much.

Hiya Pipstar!! heh..yes, yes…my eyes are dry and stinging…and i feel a bit wonky in the head to be honest!! It takes a lot of patience and energy, can be a little testing too.. I’ve used half tone here and there, it fascinates me… i have a thing for polkadots..don’t ask me why… so wherever i can… i stick circles or dots, spots… as long as it’s round I’m happy …... I love roundness…do you PIP? xoxo

my horizon line is not straight, so i’m just adjusting it and reloading to compensate… i can’t believe … you think it’s just right and then notice little things, i think they’re all fixed now :)

What a fun piece, Karin!! so many things to see.. i first notice her hair.. then my fav lil birds.. then lounging bunny and i went O_O” when i saw the cobwebs.. hehehe… ^^” then there’s mousie!! me love mousie..
and the city buildings look so colorful and happy!! something rare, since cities always denote stress.. hehe.. so i really love seeing it colorful and with balloons!! =D i also love the sew on clouds~ hehehe.. i love it when you do this sew on look.. =D

i love the sewing… i’d like to have real sewing on them… i have done that before in Thoughts become Things I sewed the stitching on the towel over the bathtub, the little birdie too, and the paper cutouts are actually felt and real running stitch, hehe..i think mum and Chris influenced me with all their sewing :)... i was thinking and hoping you’d like the phat birdy… yaaaaaaaaaaay! big hugs, glompz… n lotsa love….xxxx
