Hi Steve, yeah, i am always surprised how long it takes to do the computer side, as i learn more, i think i spend longer trying to get things just right. We will both have square eyes my friend!! lol ;)

thx heaps Barbara, I’m glad to get good feedback on having the drawing, I’m glad it makes a difference, let me know if i can help with colouring, but it’s just very basic stuff in photoshop…i think the secret is doing a very detailed drawing to begin with and having the shading all sorted beforehand too helps a lot :) xx

thanx so much Trish, it’s a goal of mine to get better at eyes, so i’m doing lots of practice with faces… i used to do just dots for eyes, til someone who purchased a painting returned it to me, asking me to make her some real eyes… that’s how i got started…just coz i sort of had to try really :) I didn’t think I would ever get it right, but i’m getting the hang, still room for lots of improvement and room to learn much more about face structure :) xx

I just don’t know what to say, it’s really an honour when anyone says something so special as this and I am almost at a loss as how to respond! I am so honestly proud of this one, and I think it’s my favourite…well probably my best work to date. I like it when I create an artwork and have a very satisfied feeling afterwards, I know it’s not perfect, as nothing I do ever is, but there were enough factors that worked together for me on this one, to give that feeling of achievement that I crave after. Thanx so much for your beautiful thoughtful response to my work. I was deeply moved :) x

thank you so much kj, i can’t believe you don’t draw…. get out the pencils and give it a whirl sometime…. if you can paint like you can paint…you must be able to draw brilliantly with a finer instrument like a pencil, far easier than the brush!!

fa!!! hello…. this is so much fun, thank you, but now you better get back to work!!! lol… :) i specially like doing the flowers, if i could i would ice cakes with these flowers and create them for weddings and stuff…. but since i can’t i like to draw them like their exquisite gems….rather than just flowers….i hope i can incorporate these types of pretty flowers again soon into another piece… i’m not sure what to draw next, but a few ideas are creeping in :).... i hope you are feeling great fa :) xxx
