Love her eyes, the little redness at the end of her nose, the tilt of her head, her ruby red lips, the shades in her hair, the little teddy with his hand tuck unside the string of the bag and out the other side, the colours of her clothes, This EYE CONTACT that you are able to convey with your characters still amazes me :o)

oh, i don’t think you’ve missed much at all there, thank you for this delightful comment … you know how much i look forward to them!! :) ...things just happen when one paints a picture, in this one, no planning, i just went with the flow…and gosh it was a beautiful experience, just to draw for the love of it with abandon and freedom… i think it shows in her expression and her eyes, i hope so :)

How delightful she is with that far away look in her eyes….so proud of her accomplishments and poised to show them to the world…I love her purse with the litte bear…it is a lovely touch that makes it so real…and the birds…at first I thought they were pieces of plaster missing from the wall behind, but then I saw the shapes…clever….simply the best Karin…

Janis, thank you…. she has that daydreamer look going on doesn’t she :) thank you, you notice the little details too… it does look a little like plaster missing from the walls, it’s transparent tissue paper, i love the effect it gives, i am sure to wax it first to seal it both sides, so that no acid could ever leach from it….. i hope to experiment more with this idea too :)

Hey fa, thank you very much… sometimes this is how I’d feel, when happiest :).. it’s so nice you see yourself in there… it’s wonderful to think you are that girl… heheeeeee…... i was lucky to dance as a child… to know that feeling of lostness and delight, to just hear the music and let it take you where it will… I used to have quite an imagination too, would simply be lost in the moment… it’s a nice feeling :) xxx

she is indeed, elements of all of us, that dancer within each one, but particularly the ballerina, full of grace and lost in her moment… and yes, that was always my biggest dream, to get those pointes… was it yours too? I remember the pictures I used to collect..and there was one, with the little girl clutching her new satin toe shoes, i would always get ‘lost’ in her eyes, and feel what she felt… i’m looking forwrd to seeing that fabric!! thank you xoxoxo
