Next in line is CHUNKIE Mother and Child – dedicated to my mum – because it was her idea….and for over a year the theme of mothers and daughters has been sitting with me….thanx so much for the suggestion mum! I hope you like it ;) CHUNKIE Mother and Child is made completely from plasticine, with a little photoshopping. This is a sweet card or print for new mums, babies nurseries, children’s rooms or daycare centres and maternity hospitals…that kind of thing
Once the Chunkies are created and photographed, I usually dismantle them to be used in the creation of more chunkies, so I am recycling the plasticine. These Chunkies have been very therapeutic to create over the holidays, whilst taking a break from red bubble and having my family around. I have many more to come, and although I won’t be on RB as much, I hope to also be doing some serious painting this year…so i look forward 2009 with much anticipation …

i’m so happy you like the pink…there is a lot of red in it….my wall is actually this deep red/pink colour…but whenever i photograph it, it turns out a blueish purple…i think that’s why you might like it….as it must have enough of other colours in it to keep the pink low key..even though it looks bright pink there’s red and purple and blues in there too…very strange why my camera does that…..the elephant chunkie was a dark purple and it photographed a horrible colour…hence the pale blue…i had to reduce the colours back to make it work :) xx
