hiya Lorna…thank you….and well fancy that…i wasn’t all that sure if they followed the peace movement or were supporters thereof…but you proved it…yeah!! thanks so much for the voice of experience here, that’s really cool that you were a mod…how cool were/are you then….did you have one of those hair cuts…did you dance the ‘go-go’, it was hard to find good video footage of the girls doing the go-go….that song I listened to it this morning, the band and the lead singer were pretty darn groovy….

Hi Anni…yep, a peaceful protestor…although i think the mods got into some scuffles with the skinheads at some stage…but this girl isn’t into violence :) (and she loves her bling, you are right!)

ooo we grew up with a wide range of music….we had to watch the lovely cilla black, with her red hair and beautiful voice…I loved her….rolf harris was big in our household too, dave allen, faulty towers…..they loved val doonican in his rocking chair, dolly parton, buddy holly, johnny o’keefe, and later on dad came a big countdown fan and we had to watch that every Saturday night….he also loved shirl from Skyhooks……from country through to rock and roll and classical…the most embarrassing thing they ever did tome, was come to all my school dances and actually dance!!! they just loved to dance..they were great too…like jive stuff…..i did ballet, but never really got into the ‘groove’…too self conscious :)...prefer to strum a little on my guitar and sing to myself lol or to swan around the loungeroom to the Blue Danube all fairy like….that was my specialty….giggles :) my dad is like you….he just breaks into silly dance moves and does funny things….it’s so funny to watch your own parents dance for some reason :)

yes, this one’s quite strong Josettle, i would have loved to have done hairdressing and tried for an apprenticeship when i was 15….no luck tho, ended up doing secretarial studies instead….oh well, at least i can type 100wpm if nothing else…lol….thanx so much!! xx
