woohoo!! thank you, such a great response Christelle, it’s so thrilling to hear such great comments, it really is a boost! The mask was a challenge, but after thinking about it, i realised it was possible and not that hard to do…but it was a matter of combining techniques and previous digital paintings and hand painted works….doing the mask glass had to be done digitally for best effect…but the girl was made entirely from plasticine/clay. The fishies and sea stars from previous paintings, and the sea/water from another digital painting i did….it is a lot of fun to be able to use all these bits and pieces to create a new piece! thank you so much Christelle!! xxxxx

ooh that’s strange Samantha, that happened the other day too…it’s just one of those things I guess…i dunno whether it’s a good or bad thing, or whether things are still coming up in the activities list twice as they were the last week or so….but it’s really frustrating …hope it gets sorted out soon…as I wonder how many works i’m missing of others on my watchlist…and whether everyone is still seeing my stuff uploaded too.

i think they are cuzzins Nenek Sal…..one has blue eyes and one has black..it’s debatable whether CHUNKIE Surfer is a boy/girl…could be either…they spend a lot of time at the beach, so their hair is badly sunbleached….like it’s been dipped in peroxide…. they have to wear
lots of hair product to keep it under control!! lol

Hi Janis, glad you like her…i’ve a few chunkies still to come..but would like to paint more this year…at the moment i’m thinking of setting a goal for 6 major artworks during 2009…that gives me 2 months to complete each work….the drawing process is fairly quick…but it’s the painting and the preparation to gain enough inspiration for each work…with all the many aspects I’m looking to include that takes up so much time….but I feel it’s time to turn my attention in that direction for a while :)
