Next in line is CHUNKIE Surfer ….a little surfy who enjoys the coastal lifestyle, summer’s here in Australia and if you don’t mind sharing the waves (with other surfers and sharkies) are pumpin’ and glassy….little CHUNKIE Surfer is looking forward to a day in the water..this CHUNKIE is comprised of plastine parts and outerwear, towel and surfboard, the waves are taken from a painting that was changed digitally to look like a wave…..and the foreground taken from another painting….the rest is a bit of photoshopping….....

Once the Chunkies are created and photographed, I usually dismantle them to be used in the creation of more chunkies, so I am recycling the plasticine. These Chunkies have been very therapeutic to create over the holidays, whilst taking a break from red bubble and having my family around. I have many more to come, and although I won’t be on RB as much, I hope to also be doing some serious painting this year…so i look forward 2009 with much anticipation …

    well, my studio is supposed to also be for display of my work, i have a hanging system for paintings, but haven’t got it up yet…but i need all the space i can get…there are a few little displays of jewellery and prints around the studio on benchtops xox (some paintings on display in the house also….about 7 or 8 :)
