Next in line is CHUNKIE Ballerina ….a glamorous little plasticine model – I’ve created her bodice, tutu (skirt) from pink satin and a yellow and white envelope, cut and wrapped around her body, and only one flower from the garden created this host of floral decorations….the rest is a bit of photoshopping….....CHUNKIE Ballerina is making her debut on the stage in her finest costume….here she is taking a bow after her first perfomance, people are clapping and cheering!

Do you have a memory of being a little ballerina on the stage, or perhaps you had a dream you were…..like Anna Pavlova or Margot Fonteyne, or did you dream of Rudolph Nureyov….. do you know a little girl you love who loves to dance and dress up….CHUNKIE Ballerina might be just the thing for her…available as greeting cards, prints and posters here on red bubble.

Once the Chunkies are created and photographed, I usually dismantle them to be used in the creation of more chunkies, so I am recycling the plasticine. These Chunkies have been very therapeutic to create over the holidays, whilst taking a break from red bubble and having my family around. I have many more to come, and although I won’t be on RB as much, I hope to also be doing some serious painting this year…so i look forward 2009 with much anticipation …

    their mother says “omg”
    their mum/g/mum (also Poppa) are gobsmacked
    all have been/are ballet students (also the artist) at times in their lives…......love the curtains & tutu
