Next in line are CHUNKIES in love! ....these are plasticine models with some foliage and flowers from the garden….a great idea to give your Valentine, sweetheart or loved one any time of year, also sweet for engagements, weddings, anniversaries, etc….the boy and girl wear a heart on their tees and she tips her head to touch his shoulder in a show of affection.

Once the Chunkies are created and photographed, I usually dismantle them to be used in the creation of more chunkies, so I am recycling the plasticine. These Chunkies have been very therapeutic to create over the holidays, whilst taking a break from red bubble and having my family around. I have many more to come, and although I won’t be on RB as much, I hope to also be doing some serious painting this year…so i look forward 2009 with much anticipation …

What a wonderful idea. I can see it now…..Chunkies on TV, in toy stores, mothers waiting in line for Chunkies for Christmas. We can always say that we know you and we saw them FIRST! I really hope all of this for you! You are one talented lady!!!!! I have a new granddaughter so I want a Chunkie for her but signed!!!!

Hey Redbubble could use some of ya Chunkies in their little videos they play when the bubble’s offline… you should suggest it to them! ;o) These are just gorgeous, as are all your little characters… Sometimes I wonder where all your creativity comes from ~ does it just pop into your head in the middle of the night?!!! I need to start recording more of my ideas, in fact I bought a little notebook specially for that purpose, but it’s sitting there looking very empty! x

Hi Kaz… wow, thank you :)) you are so sweet and thoughtful….i guess the ideas start off just as a thread, and they grow….if i let them, if i dwell on them. :) i got a tiny packet of plasticine for Christmas, and that’s how this idea started…but i have a feeling that i’ve always been drawn to claymation and figures…ever since I watched Doogle in The magic Roundabout on the ABC lol and all those characters :) I also adored The Wombles which I don’t think were clay, but similar…I’m wierd huh lol…. I’ve had a thing for Wallace and Grommit…n stuff like that :)

looks like a self portrait and her hubby to me!!! A trully gorgeous couple!!! Claymation is such an awesome process… you could easily add it to your talent list.
Its easy, just really really slow. But the results are awesome! Like Chicken Run, Wallace n Gromit, and so many others!! I loved the Magic Roundabout too!!
And even the 3d animators are making their cartoons look like they’re made of clay sometimes!! Just keep all the little people you’re making instead of ‘recycling’ them into new ones… of course you’d need more clay, which means more trips to the art/craft/cheapie shop (how awful). Looking forward to seeing more of your awesome creations (as always!!!). xxGG

thank you georgiegirl!! could be, could well be although he’s a bit hawaiian looking and my hair aint all that white….but that’s about my figure!! hahaha… can’t keep ‘em all tho…sadly…i do keep bits n pieces so i could stick em back together if necessary….they are just for fun really and terrific therapy, you get lost in creating for hours and hours :) xxxx
