Jess n Jumbo are friends…
Jess is a Jungle Girl and walks on stilts….
Jess met Jumbo who is a baby elephant, he was orphaned
Jess adopted Jumbo and they lived happily ever after in a treehouse deep in the heart of the Jungle

Jess n Jumbo were created on brown paper, with a white gesso striped background…overlayed with chalk pastels and outlined in black felt tip pen…
Her cheeks are pink texta and i’ve used quite a bit of charcoal for the shaded areas

    thx ellen…jungle jess wears stilts because the heat and humidity of the jungle air is stifling and this way she can pop her head up above the rainforest canopy and breathe in some fresh cooler air…whilst still maintaining her protective stance over baby orphan jumbo :D

    aw thx… i dont know why i do that but glad you like it christelle… i find texture yummy…metimes you can achieve something that is slightly left field when you use unusual things…i love how some people paint on timber, ive seen a few people on rb doing it…looks so effective with the grain showing thru
