Here is a little surf nymph or fairy in her tutu riding a wave
the sun shines on her little outfit and is reflected in the waves
this is a mixed media production, ink, pastel, acrylic and charcoal
the major part being chalk pastel on pastel paper

    oh that’s a great story Deidre!! yeah, she comes from antarctica, and she was born from an ice crystal…when she was old enough she caught a wave all the way to coast and when there were no waves to catch, friendly dolphins took her to the next surfbreak, until she found her way here!!!!

    I love pastels, you can go to town with them….great for stroke/line work like the waves and the patterns in her costume :)
