How sweet. I had to think of my own mother and how she would have enjoyed these cute drawings. Then I have to think of my son who, at the age of 10, was faced with spending a week’s holiday with his father and the “new mother” (his spouse Nr. 2). He had an awful week. the woman didn’t want him there and they left him to his own devices most of the time (my ex has no sense of responsibility anyway and I really didn’t want my son to go there). At the farm they stayed on (where we had previously stayed as a family) the farmer’s wife told me later that she had looked after him, done his washing , which had been thrown into a corner and forgotten, and fed him. No excuses for that neglect, but he may just have provoked it. When she had tried to make contact he had told her “I don’t need another mother. I already have one!” He’s now on his “3rd mother” and still 100% my son. I’ll post a story about that whole constellation. But I’ll have to write it first. LOL
