I love this view as you can see such a contrast from the history of the city of Bristol to the modern day. In the foreground are remains of the old Bristol castle, now ruins. In the back on the left is the remains of St Peter’s Church – bombed in WWII – and on the right it is the Christmas market with the Ferris wheel and modern lights and engineering.
While in some ways, this is quite sad, in other ways, I like it as it shows modern against old – both with their own place.
