From the first moment I picked up a brush I was captivated! I only put down my brush when I’m forced to! I also make demo videos and host my online teaching website. I’ve lived in beautiful Oregon for the last few years. First in Southern Oregon where the stunning landscape converted me almost entirely to landscape painting. Now I live and paint in Portland and have fallen in love with the history, energy and people of this beautiful city.

Beautiful painting, great detail. I also love them, and it was always a huge excitement when one came to our yard when we lived in Oklahoma for a few years. It would come out of the woods behind us when I threw out table scraps, feed, and go back into the woods. Was so cool to watch, and imagine how old he or she might be.

There is something very wise and mysterious about them, isn’t there? Thanks you for the comments Cindy and Maggie!

love your guy here, you achieved very good results. The legs of these turtles always fascinate me because the design on the legs remind me of fireplaces with rocks in the wall- and are challenging to paint and are interesting to paint as well.

As usual, really beautiful paintng. ;-)

I love turtles, too; and, to think that some people use them to go make turtle soup…; how absolutely atrocious!
