I’ve been painting since 2002. Picking it up when my kids were in high school, Now all three are grown and gone and I spend most of my time in my studio. I’ve lived in beautiful Oregon for the last few years. The stunning landscape converted me almost entirely to a landscape painter! More recently I have moved to Portland and am in love with the history, energy and people of this beautiful city.

Your river paintings are marvelous. You must live on or near a river because you capture its various moods and seasons beautifully. I live on a river, myself and right now it’s huge, brown, and ugly and I’m holding my breath hoping the rain stops soon. If you are near your river you know the feeling. Your compositions and brush work are admirable. Sally
Thank you Sally. I do live near a big river and many small ones. Ours too are huge and brown muddy. I tried to do a plein air leaving the mud color, but it just wasn’t very appealing!
