What a cool addition to that wonderful series Karen. Love the details in the lacey table runner.

  • Thank you so much Jim for your wonderful feedback – actually this one drove me nuts, between trying to fix computer problems, and battling with a head cold, it has taken me two weeks to complete and I was over it, (if pieces take me more than a couple of days I lose interest) but we got there in the end!!! :)

Hi, Karen. This wonderful work is to remind me how far I have yet to do.

  • Are you kidding Michele – your work is superb!!! I actually finished this one thinking myself, I still have a long way to go – it wasn’t as realistic as I would like, but I guess we would not be happy if we weren’t continually striving to be better :))

Just beautiful Karen. Those cakes look so gorgeous!

  • Thank you so much Ann, and yes they were very yummy. There are six in our family, so each tart was carefully cut into six and we got a bite size sample each :))

Wonderful work … again! Ever thought of doing a study with some woodworking tools??

  • I might yet Carol. You never can tell what ideas are going to pop into your head, and I just go with whatever feels right at the time. Thank you so much for your lovely feedback!!! :)

Karen, your work amazes me everytime I view it.
This is simply beautiful!!! You have the ability to create something that is so life-like, that I could reach into the monitor and pick things up, piece by piece, especially those delicious looking cakes…Lol!!!

  • Thank you so much Sharon – you are always wonderfully supportive – as I mentioned in an earlier comment, I personally wasn’t a hundred percent happy with the realism in this one, so it is encouraging to know that you find it life-like. I am going to experiment with different primers to see if I can get the look even smoother :)
