What a lovely comment Melanie and thank you!!!
Thank you heaps Cynthia!!!
Really, really great work. Incredible rendering and a very emotive scene. I’m sure your commissioner was pleased!
Thank you Pete, It was for my neighbour and she cried, which was so lovely because most of my commissions get sent off through the mail, and I never get to see the client’s reaction.
How sweet, wonderful work. Love the soft colours in this one.
Thank you so much Jim!!! :)
Wonderful work. Do you like those Pan Pastels Karen??? You have achieved a great effect here. I have looked at them and thought about buying some, and I would be really interested in what you think of them.
I LOOOVE the pan pastels Lynda. I use them on top of the coloured pencils to give a smoother finish. I’m not sure how they would go on the colourfix, because I haven’t actually tried to do a whole piece with them. Working mostly in pastels as you do, I would certainly look at gettig a couple of pans and trying them out, because you can cover large areas very quickly.
Absolutely precious work Karen. I love the young girls hair. Each tiny part – and twist and curl is so lifelike – and the budgie on the shoulder – a wonderful enhancement to this beautiful work of art.
Thank you so much Sharona. This is my neighbour’s daughter and their precious pet budgie, who is not well and may not last much longer. So she wanted something to remember him by, in case the worst should happen.
