For me…… PHOTOGRAPHY has been a wonderful journey of self-discovery. I have learnt so much in such a short space of time and I continue to learn every time I pick up my camera.
It has given me the ability to see rather than just look and to really appreciate the beauty and fragility that surrounds us all every day. These images are how I see Cocos through my eyes.
Reflections of the Cocos (Keeling) Islands is my way of sharing the uniqueness and quirkiness of the island with everyone and hopefully highlight what we have here both underwater and topside must be treasured and preserved for future generations otherwise it could well disappear.
I feel blessed living here and consider myself extremely privileged
This book started as a dream – that dream has now become reality. It is proof that age has no barrier and if you have the determination to achieve something dear to you – you can do it.
I sincerely hope you enjoy REFLECTIONS OF THE COCOS (KEELING) ISLANDS as much as I have producing it.

Hey Karen, I have a copy of your book! To anyone reading this i totally recommend it! Karen is the photographer in residence on Cocos and takes the most stunning shots. You get such a strong sense of how remarkable the Cocos (Keeling) Islands are from looking at her images!
