The remains of the German Raider; SMS Emden who was defeated in a little known battle by the HMAS Sydney I, November 1914. This battle took place in the waters surrounding the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, an external territory of Australia. Although recognised as an historical shipwreck, not much remains. This is the prop-shaft and some kind of bracket that may have attached to the hull.
