Big tides and rough ocean conditions pounded the Cocos (Keeling) Islands recently. Waves crashed over the sea wall and swept coconut debris over ocean front properties. Bear in mind, this coral atoll is only 3 metres above sea level, so it doesn’t take much for the lower lying areas to be swamped.
What happens when you are waiting for “that” wave to come crashing over the wall, only to realise it is bigger than expected… RUN and at the same time take the photo!! In camera movement and this is what I captured. If I had stayed where I was,,, one wet photographer and one drown camera.
