They Are Watching Us
This is a work about the government and how we are constantly being observed. Think about it.
They Are Watching Us belongs to the following groups:
Current Issues, Underground USA and WMGI was inspired by something FlickerLight wrote, to write this. I believe that the government, with the technolohy now available, keep files on all of us. They probably monitor our work on this site even. Look around you, there are cameras popping up everywhere. Some cities have them all over.
What about those savings cards for the grocery store. Everything we purchase goes into a computer. They can see if you smoke, drink, read, eat, if you buy things to make drug paraphenalia.
People don’t write as many checks, they use a debit card. Once again they know what you bought and this tells them about you habits and lifestyle.
Your library card is scanned and they know what you are reading. They know your interests, habits, your lifestyle. What happens if you get a book about mental illness or drug addiction, just out of curiousity, does this label you as a basket case or a drug addict?
Computers are begging for people to take surveys, because they want to know all about you. What sites you visit, do you look at pornography, are you a political threat, are you doing drugs, who are your friends and what are they like. I bet that what I am writing now is going to be seen. They can kiss my ass.
I also think there is more phone tapping then we know about. Cell phone conversations are easily accessible. We must watch what we say.
I barely watch tv. I didn’t even want a computes, and tried to stay hidden for a long time, because I really believe that each and every one of us has a file that the government is keeping on us. There’s probably a whole division just for this purpose. To watch and report. I am not paranoid. I just know that it is a fact that we are being observed at all times.
Look out folks, Big Brother is watching.

Wise words Karen
Have you seen my `what are you looking at` piece?
Suzanne German
Oh yes you’re absolutely right – not paranoid – and it’s global not just american!
In England there are CCTV cameras everywhere – in shops, strees, train stations, supermarkets, petrol stations, schools, everywhere.
I have to use several codes a day to obtain access within certain areas in my working environment. It’s amazing! And I swear that the walls have ears at times! Not even joking!
The best attitude to adopt is if you don’t want something known – Don’t say it to anybody anywhere ever – otherwise it’s safest to assume that anything you say, write, enter into a computer, speak on a phonecall, etc…..will all be accessed or recorded or both.
These are strange times we live in! But this has been going on for a long time you know….they used to call it spying now they call it security

Soon we will have no freedom to even go to the bathroom by ourselfs…..the government is taking everthing. We all should be paranoid …the worst is yet to come…next everthing will be on a debit card and there will be no cash in the world to assure that the government will get there cut before you get yours…....thanks for shareing karen

You are not paranoid Karen. I almost joined the Navy when I was a young woman, and guess what? They did their background check on me and the FBI had a file on me as a subversive because I contributed to and supported Greenpeace.
LMFAO. Subversive. Whatthefuckever!!!!!!!! Look at me, I pulled my pants down and I’m showing them my ass right now. LOL
moniqueemajor
Well they probably do! but honestly i’m not going to watch what i say or do to please a bunch of bored people looking at a bunch of numbers and pictures everyday to ””SAVE THE WORLD”” from terrorism or whatever!
=] but i really like this peice…makes you think! 10/10 :)
aphoto4you
well karen that is so true…but also i might say here …unless you are flagged as someone they track….they dont bother otherwise…it wil take hundreds and hundreds of people that are paid just to do that….unless u have a problem with law or u are on their chit list then u dont have nothing to worry about..LOL…but u brought out a great point…

Great piece of writing.
I agree with everyone here including Darren. Bottom line is how much are we going to allow them to affect our inner peace. F* ‘em. Live your live, speak what your heart tells you to speak, and always hold high your inner personal freedom. Many…many thousands of innocents suffered at the hands of controlling regimes and the like in world history…and many are likely to still. It comes down to what you posess within….
WITHIN….is where our strength, integrity, peace, and strength all derive from. Let them EVER try to take that. They won’t get it from me…or You.
I’ve lost too much in this life…on many levels…from illness and disease. I never thought I’d make it.
We all can though.
We must find it within and never be tricked into a false sense of security offered by the media, our wonderful govenment, or our pocketbooks.
To hell with them if they want to watch. Let’s give them something to See…but remember inside is where you’re free.

Thanks for all of your comments. Didn’t you guys see where I said that they can kiss me ass!!??

Thanks for adding this to the Current Issues Group

I hate to say this but they have been watching and listening for a long time. And with the Patriot Act and Homeland Security it is sealed in stone. Don’t look for any change in this with a change in President. If anything it will get worse. Orwell warned us in 1948 when he wrote 1984. Of course, it is much more sinister than he ever imagined. Check out a website:www.infowars.com
many others out there—but remember they see everything on the internet.

Also, read my poem Roman Terror that I posted. I wrote it shortly after 911. 911 was the pretext for total fear and control—it’s all history, my friends.

If you have a clear concsience then does it matter if “they know what your buying/reading/watching/eating?...
Karen Crozier replied
Because I am a private person. I don’t want the government or anyone else be able to invade my space, and know all my business.
Karen Crozier
That’s why I said they can kiss my lilly white ass!!! LOL
Joe Valcourt/M...
This issue is right to privacy and Constitutional law. Remember the Constitition was not designed to provide you with rights-
you already have those as prescibed by the Creator.-just the opposite. Most people believe their rights come from the state (feds or local). In fact, the globalist view of rights is regarded as something granted to you by the state—soon to be the global state. That’s why individual rights in the U.S. are in grave peril. You may tell them to kiss your ass, but they (power brokers) don’t care what you think or feel. The Constitution was a restrictive document to insure that the federal government would not deny, restrict or restrain you or your rights. What’s happened
Joe Valcourt/M...
This is information deleted above. Rights are given to you by the Creator, not the state. The Constitution is a restrictive document on federal power not personal rights.

They’ve had a file on you ever since you received a Social Security card (if American). I would worry much more about the file someone like Best Buy or Sears has on you, instead of the government.
dogbreath
Its all true… I admit, I am one the big brothers who is “watching”... its quite a show ;)
Karen Crozier replied
You are a trip lOL
Karen Crozier
Interesting perpspective dogbreath? That is your name??? LOL

I work within the security industry and have to say you are not being watched as much as you think you are, America has always have more than its fair share of paranoid people and those that think there is an even higher power ie god. without those folk out there watching over us many more would be victims of violence from what ever source. I know in my role i am only interested in those that are breaking the law or attempting to do harm to others. I may agree that it is not a nice thought that i may be being watched as i go about my life but come that time when someone tries to rob me or worse, thats the day i know That i am glad someone was watching.
sweetscent62
LOL @ Dogbreath… I agree with Darren on this one… you haven’t got a hope against “security” I figure..if I have nothing to hide…who gives a rats ass.. anything I have to hide they’d already know about! Geez.. even your GP has things written in your file you don’t know about….. Oh…and I back Greenpeace too! so..I’m also a subversive! and guess what… RB knows everything about you too ;) Wen
Karen Crozier replied
Hell Yeah, now that’s what I’m talkin’ about! Those Bastards know everything. People just walk around in an oblivious state of mind.
Alan Findlater
what kind of hope are you hopeing for??
Karen Crozier replied
By writing this, I wanted to wake people up. People take so much for granted and slowly we are losing our identities and acting like sheep. I want people to be aware of what’s going on so that they can make more informed decisions about how they go about their lives.
Alan Findlater
but is’nt it just that you want people to make decisions that you agree with? some people want to be sheep and some want to be shepards thats life!
and why are they “BASTARDS” or are you only looking from an american point of view?
chamo
I have now been put on another goverment watch list because I am commenting on this . It,s going to take them a life time time to check out all of us redbubblers. Love all of your art . Keep on arting
Peter Hill
Sitting in a bar anywhere in the States, the only things the bartender really needs to be concerned about are whether you are underage or drunk before serving you.
Sitting in a hillside shop in Nepal a few years ago, the only thing the owner needed to be concerned about was whether anyone in the village spotted her actually selling me a bottle of scotch. Why? Because in the next village the Maoists had beheaded someone for committing that “offence”.
In the First World, we inhabitants tend to focus our concerns on what restricts us, what prevents us from enjoying our personal liberty and choice. We tend to finger point at “them” without articulating who “they” are. For me, the great concern is not whether “the Government” (whoever or whatever that actually is) keeps a dirt file on me, it is instead the insidious reality of commerce’s knowledge of what we do, see, and buy. and that’s the cost of a free market economy.
I think it’s sad to make positive conclusions based on fear.
Karen Crozier
You are a very small minded person and I don’t appreciate your insults. Are you a child???
funkyporchini
if you feel that strongly about it then i would have nothing to do with the ‘net for a start….
Karen Crozier replied
I know. I really don’t like to deal with the internet. I basically check e mail and this site.
