I started digital photography in Second Life 4 years ago. It has slowly changed from the basic snapping of a photo to building the entire image before I shoot it.
When I am happiest is when I am creating. At 47 I once again find myself playing with dolls…..and loving it. :)
I use the items that I have purchased from the many talented creators, (or make my own) to bring the creations I have in my mind to life. Objects range from mesh to sculpt to single textured items. I tend to stick to ones that are copy and modifiable as I rarely use an item as it looks when I have first purchased it. My images take anywhere from a few hours to a few days to complete ( it’s all about the detail :). After I have edited, re-sized and moved all objects into their proper place, I change my preferences to make shadows or add mood and more detail to the atmosphere, then I start picking a light setting. There are many to choose from, or I make my own. When all said and done, I snap my photo, set the right size and upload into which ever photo program I decide to use to add final touches to the image.
I wrote and copyrighted some children’s stories a number of years ago and have now started making illustrations for them with my digital art images. I am so excited and cannot wait for the book(s) to be finished. :)
