Awesome capture, was that a landslide or just a cloud?

  • Yes – definitely an avalanche – we saw it happen. The ‘cloud’ was gone within minutes.

It is neat seeing these things happen as long as you safe. Lucky you

yep, awesome indeed — you wouldn’t want to be in the wrong place…
    Magnificent ice flutes on Thamserka!

  • Yes it was covered with stuff that was about to fall – we were across on the other side of the valley.

It’s great that you were back a bit from it happening.
Otherwise you would probably have been taking photos the whole time the snow was covering you up.

  • Thanks ER – yes, we were about half a mile across the valley from it.

Thunderous movement conveyed in your photo, Richard. Beautiful shot even without the action.

  • Thanks you Jan – it was very exciting.
