Cass Bay, New Zealand. Quail Island is in the distance. The maori name for Cass Bay is Motu-kauati-rahi, meaning great fire-making tree grove. This bay is one of two known for many kaikomako trees that were used for fire-making through wood friction

Located on New Zealand’s South Island, on the Banks Pennisula.
