Introducing leggings. You’ll never run out of inspiration.

Mixed media collage on canvas. 2 feet by 3 feet.

Once again please tell me of this seems finished or whether it needs to be elaborated on. An honest and professional critique would be welcome.

Peace, love, and creativity to you all,

I am a physician and have a passion for healing. I started making collages after working on altered books. My husband asked me to make something larger so that we could hang it in our home. My daughters then encouraged me to upload my creations.
The encouragement that I receive online keeps me creating. Knowing my art is being enjoyed keeps me making more. I love that. You are helping the machine of my creation right now. ~Kanchan

Gorgeous…as all your pieces are! I know how you feel, however…as if something is missing from it ( at least I think I know!). I feel that way about nearly every piece I do. Your’s is perfect…it needs nothing else. We are our own worst critics, I fear! I read somewhere that an artist never truly finishes a work….he merely abandons it. I also heard a famous photographer say, when asked by a reporter, what his favorite shot was. He replied, “I haven’t taken it yet”….anyway, this is a wonderful piece of art just as it is!

  • I wanted to thank you Karen, now that I’m feeling better. This comment made my day, just knowing you are understood by another artist is a gift. The discussion of the Inner Critic is a long and rambling journey of the soul. I love the two additional pieces of wisdom you so graciously gave me. Yes, we merely abandon them to the viewers, I’d not thought of this until now. (Klimt himself was widely known to have worked and reworked paintings for up to two years !!! ) But my absolute favorite morsel of wisdom is the quote from the photographer! I hope I can take this attitude, rather than simply repeating my past favorites. I think I can, as I am a restless experimenter.
