This piece of art can be interpreted in many ways of course. One way is to see my work as purely decorative. But some of who know my work also know that a flower is never just a flower.

Anywhere in the world, flowers are more than beautiful. They represent fertility, abundance, generations, regeneration, and the ability to give birth. They are put on altars and even the Neanderthals placed them in their graves.

Fruit embodies fecundity, ripeness, sexuality, seduction and wealth. Butterflies represent change, renewal, inner and outer transformation, metamorphosis.

I am a physician and have a passion for healing. I started making collages after working on altered books. My husband asked me to make something larger so that we could hang it in our home. My daughters then encouraged me to upload my creations.
The encouragement that I receive online keeps me creating. Knowing my art is being enjoyed keeps me making more. I love that. You are helping the machine of my creation right now. ~Kanchan http://www.dreamimages.org

(lol) No Kidding? Btw, that’s one of things I like about doing artwork is thinking up names for them. I guess you’ll never see my stuff called “Untitled No.400”,etc.) Anyway,I hope you do join Hat Heads & this could be your 1st feature on there;-)!

Lol-Your Hubby definitely sounds like he has a sense of humor:-). Sometimes it’s not easy to think up a name but I use alot of song titles or names of movies. My brain seem to retain tons of useless Information but it does come in handy sometimes! Have & happy Mother’s Day& Your Welcome for the Feature:-) Robynx

This is just gorgeous – and what a truly wonderful description. A fave for me.
    xx

  • Thanks for everything Anna! I just can’t believe I didn’t type my blog into a word processor before I posted here. I could’ve saved the text and it would be, even easier to then paste the text here.

Now I just wish I could find the post that took me 2 hours to explain what feminism means to me. I’ve experienced another form of bigotry since I was 6 yrs. old. so my post touched on what I have expected from society growing up as a child of my generation. I also wrote about why I, myself , many men and child must relight the candle of feminist thought to keep strong. I’ve actually heard way too many who have turned "Feminism” into a derogatory slur.

So I want to rewrite it when I have time!
