On their way? To where? When I see photographs of marine life, it’s always (almost) going somewhere but I wonder if it knows where or if it just prefers movement to remaining stationary.

  • Pelagic fishes are always “on their way”, Kelly. Mantas live in the wide of the oceans – always searching for food.. There is no place to stay.. Sometimes they rest for a few minutes on cleaning stations. That’s it.

Brilliant capture Norbert. I have just come back from the Maldives, where i had the pleasure of sharing the surf with a couple of these magnificent Rays. Although …… at first sight our hearts were in our mouth until we realized what they were :-) ……………. great work

  • Congrats to your Maldives adventure. Mantas are very common there.
