Raja Ampa, Indonesia, a stunning place. I’ve never seen so many fishes since the last 25 years. But most of the time I’ve found a poor visibility with lots of backscatters.
To capture a Wobbegong or Carpet Shark (Eucrossorhinus dasypogon) this was the perfect place. Nearly every dive we saw this amazing creatures.

Canon EOS 5D Mark II, 17-40mm USM, L, in Seacam housing with Seacam flash, f 11, 1/40s, ISO 200

Superb capture Norbert..Raja Ampat is on my wish list.

  • Thank you Robert. Believe me, Raja Ampat is amazing but also a tough job for an underwater photographer

He probably went home to his missus later that day and said, “You won’t believe this, darling, but today I saw the most amazing creature.”

I like the title, and the image of course. :-) Great composition as usual, excellent light and the shark seems to pop out of the picture, normally they blend in very well and are not easy to photograph.

What a beautiful image Norbert. The first of many to come from your Indonesia trip, I’m sure.

  • Thank you David. Yes, there is something more I’ve got there.

Looks like another winner to me Norbert

  • Here, with redbubble, is no picture a real winner. I expected a market place. But I’ve got a forum. Sales are not 10% of that what I have on comparable websites in Germany.
