I was in five meter of depth and did my safety stop when I saw this Black-Spotted-Stingray, (Taeniura meyeni) approaching this wonderful tilla. It is completely covered with Magnificent Sea Anemones, (Heteractis magnifica). I went down and the Ray passed me without shy very close.

what a beauty ~ I have swam with the rays in the Caribbean- Grand Cayman and Belize – and liken them to cats they way they brush up against you ~ this one is another kind being white and spotted, against the sea anemonies ~ what a treat! Heading down to Puerto Rico and then the Southern Caribbean tomorrow cannot wait :) xx

  • Thank you very much Linda and have a good time!

All very confusing to a landlubber. Is it gliding? Is it swimming? Is it hovering? Then again, maybe it’s posing for Norbert.

  • It is gliding and swimming but not hovering! But it is posing for me. But I had to promise that it will be in a magazine ;-) Thank you Gary.
