You will never see a shot like that in my portfolio, Norbert. I do manage to be a little more courageous than normal when I have a camera in my hands but not THAT courageous!

  • It was very interesting to watch this huge animals. They move like in slow motion. I was in a half open cage. Safe enough. Thank you Gary.

Please tell me you shot this from the safety of a cage or distance (but how far would be far away enough??) Incredible shot, the tilt of him seems to be turning towards you and the reflecting water above, all just outstanding!! xx

  • The shark passed me in a distance of one Meter. I was in a half open cage. Thank you very much Linda.

Such a spectacular shot, Norbert, in every way…. You obviously lived to post the picture! But I suspect Great Whites are just like other predatory creatures… wrong place, wrong time you’ll be in trouble. But on a good day, a cruise past is probably perfectly normal. How far away were you? I’ll bet you were not in a cage…. More details, please!! In the meantime, bravo.

  • I watched them in a half open cage and this one passed me in a distance of one meter. It’s an impressive experience. Thank you!

NORBERT REALLY!!! >>> what<<<< I hope you were caged? You must give more detail of this amazing experience. I love how this is a nice sharp shot too so you weren’t shaking in your booties :) Is this cropped tell me you have a super long length housing to use a super long lens :) MORE PLEASE.

  • Yes I was in a half open cage safe enough. But anyway, it was an impressive experience. In the beginning it was very exiting, but you get used to it ;-) Thank you Barbara.

It maybe a Beast Norbert, but still part of nature & to see this in the flesh & in its normal environment must be lovely…you are blessed I would love to capture this!

  • I wouldn’t say it’s lovely in the real meaning of this word. But it was very beautiful to see this huge animal alive in it’s natural habitat.
