I was surprised about the size (2,4-3,1 m) and the massive body of female Lemon Sharks (Negaprion brevirostris) like this one. The males are more slim and small. Surrounded by four of this species I took care and got a number of pictures.

I guess photographing sharks looks more dangerous than it actually is. Nonetheless, I’m glad it’s you and not me! What a wonderful example of streamlined efficiency, Norbert. No wonder they haven’t changed for millions of years.

  • You never now, Gary. It’s a big wild and dangerous animal. That close is only possible because some food is in a small cage outside the picture. But that makes it more dangerous because sharks smell food and became busy.
