It’s a well kept secret, not many people know about it, but it is a dragon artist who paints all the fiery colours into the trees in the fall.
Composite made of a smoke art photo that I had previously modified to emphasize its resemblance to a dragon, see the original Smoky Dragon for more details. I duplicated the dragon layer and blended in multiply mode in order to make it pop out a little more. Next, I added an autumn sky texture on which I applied an Orton effect, then painted in a few birds with a set of brushes that I made from my photos of seagulls.
