Hi Kamalyn, this is absolutely fantastic! Did you have to get your feet wet to get this one? The yellow and reds in the background pop off the page with the dark forest behind.

Hi Cal – Thanks! Nope – no wet feet. There are lots of exposed rocky ledges in the river here, providing many good spots right out in the middle of the river. The rocks themselves are great – I’ve got more I’m working on. These cascades are part of a little system that extends a few hundred yards, so there are lots of great angles, even a FEW shots that you can get without people in them, lol. Heading to New Hampshire at the height of foliage season provides great views, but lots of challenges to capture without hordes of other leaf peepers.

Thanks very much J.K.! It’s been years since I’d been able to get to New Hampshire for the foliage season, so this trip, a day after some rain to fill the river, was a real treat.
