Hakea bucculenta (Red Pokers) is a large shrub in the Proteaceae family that is indigenous to the area between Shark Bay and Geraldton in Western Australia. It is closely related to Hakea francisiana.
woody seed pods It grows to a height of between 1.5 and 4.5 m and produces showy terminal orange-red elongated flowers in winter and spring, followed by woody seed capsules which are 22 mm long and 15 mm wide.
