Artist's Description

Banksia Baxteri Bud – reloaded.
This species is from the far south of Western Australia and is unusual in that the lemon yellow flowers are in broad almost hemispherical heads rather than cylindrical spikes. Appear in summer and autumn. The young growth of this single trunked shrub are russet-tinted. (info Australian Native Plants – Random House)
