Caladenia discoidea - Dancing Spider Orchid by 


Caladenia discoidea – Dancing Spider Orchid taken in the Baldivis Nature Reserve (Western Australia) Spring 2011 with macro lens.
Grows up to 45cm high with a single hairy leaf up to 18 cms long and has up to 4 yellowish-green flowers about 4 cm across.

    I saw the first Caladania for this year last week in the Native Reserve in Riddells Creek Macedon.
    So far it has only been a few Pterostylis.
    It’s good to see a few images of this coming through….
