A stone construction which resembled a monk’s beehive, we thought it might have been an animal shelter, except it had no opening. Found along the road through the magical valley of Glen Coe, Scotland

Tom has provided a link to Flickr photo where it is suggested that this is a memorial cairn, with each stone being from a person who remembered the massacre of the McDonalds in Glen Coe. This is not substantiated but would seem to be a reasonable explanation.

It’s the home of the "HORRIBLE HAGGIS*……
They only show themselves at night, when they come out to prey
    on the wee folk….

  • Aha, so they must have been sleeping soundly when we wandered around, glad it was daytime then :)
