Caladenia discoidea
Also known as the Dancing and Antelope Spider Orchid, it has a colourful flower 20-30 mm diameter (1”) with an upright densely hairy leaf. . Flowering time is from August to October.
Found amongst Banksia woodlands near Yarloop in South Western Australia – this very tiny orchid was in quite deep shadow, the light on it is coming from a pencil torch

It was a case of necessity, the last time I was shooting in the bush everything was dark and the daywas rather cloudy, some fine breaks only occasionaly, so the torch acted as a mini sun :)

How very kind of you to say so. :) I was pleased with the experimenting with the torch. The trick is not to have a harsh light and a slim pencil torch is easier to handle and directs only a little light where you want it. Give it a try :)

Oh, no thank you, I have an old cheap camera! I will trust the gorgeous photography to you! I am an artist, primarily. I take pix to capture what my artist eye savors and needs to record.
